Auto da Fe is a mysterious band with unknown members of which through a fortuitous discovery we came into possession of musical demos and we decided to publish them, regardless of their actual quality, although undoubtedly, they did not seem lacking of imagination and attitude.
Around 1999 an unknown band took its first steps in the world of extreme music.
Called Auto da Fe they recorded an album called Pyro which came out as a demo CD.
The album was a concept on the abuses and crimes of religion seen in a black metal visual with industrial background The CD was very rare.
Before this recording and after, other tracks that were expressed between black metal, death and electronics were recorded.
We collected these other tracks in a single album titled From the darkness and although in some cases the band was not originally named Auto da Fe, all the tracks are, according to the little information we have, all played from the same lineup and so we let them out, however, in the name of Auto da Fe.
When the band is broken, we know that two members have joined a new project called Sovereign ... experimental music project with black metal influences.
Two are the albums released as a demo cd and never officially distributed.
