Ernie Lincoln Sings Nearer the Cross (Full Album 1957)
Let me be upfront and say this one is ROUGH sounding. This was a flea market find some years ago, and it had obviously had a hard life before I got it. I ran off a copy years ago and did the best I could with Polderbits. Polderbits is nice, but it is very limited on what you can do as far as noise reduction. I ran this through my new program I use and got “better” results, but I had to go sparingly with the click removal because, even with pitch protection, it was causing clipping. This is mono; Spin-O-Rama shows there was a stereo version in the 60's, but I've never attempted to find it. Yes, I tried running off a fresh copy straight from the vinyl and didn't achieve anything different. Here's the track list:
