Hey There (Adler-Ross) by Rosemary Clooney, conducted by Buddy Cole
A huge hit on its own, “Hey There” was joined on the flipside of this Columbia 45 by “This Ole House,” together easily topping the million-sales mark. Rosemary’s performance, enhanced by Buddy Cole’s harpsichord, spent six weeks atop the Billboard singles sales chart.
The song, introduced on Broadway by John Raitt in the Tony-winning musical success “Pajama Game,” is also posted here in the top-20 version by young Sammy Davis, Jr. And look for “Hernando’s Hideaway” and “Steam Heart,” two other “Pajama Game” hits.
