The Frantics, a Seattle-based band, existed in varied groupings for a decade (1955-1966).
This version of Kenny Burrell's \"Chitlin Con Carne\" was recorded in California shortly after the original appeared on the jazz guitarist's album \"Midnight Blue\" (Blue Note, 1963).
The Frantics' recording remained unreleased until 2001 when it appeared on the compilation CD \"Stomp! Northwest Killers Vol. 1\" (Norton Records).
