‘Très précieux sang’ obviously was the best record of 2016. The minute we listened to it, we decided to contact Accident du travail and propose to issue a cassette of their music. I didn’t expect any answer: the album had sold out in a week, and had been issued by the super hyped TTT label.
It turned out they were very friendly, and genuinely interested in our proposition. The concert at “l’époque” was the occasion to meet face to face for the first time.
In a couple of weeks, jean-Charles has turned this very Parisian bar into the place to have a drink with your friends while listening to the best experimental music. October 14th turned out to be a very special night for all those that attended. The vibe was super positive, the lovely Accident du travail sounds surely helped.
Absolutely everyone I’ve talk to about that concert has reacted in the exact same way: “That was the most beautiful concert I saw that year”.
We stayed and talked long after the music was over. It was a very cool evening.
Later, the band sent me the files, saying “There’s a lot of noise, but we thought it’d be cool to issue that concert”.
“Cool” - I wouldn’t have said it differently.
