In Oct/ Nov 2009 Peter Visser & Carol van Dyk of Bettie Serveert were invited by Jesse Beuker and Maarten Besseling to do a project with ‘In A Cabin With’ in Australia.
Together with Australian musicians Russell Hopkinson (You Am I) and Matt Wicks (in Sydney), Ben Salter (The Gin Club) and Andrew Morris (in Byron Bay) they recorded 11 songs and called it “ME & STUPID”.
ME & STUPID = ‘me and all my stupidity’ and most songs are about the stupid things one can do to themselves or to others. It’s also ‘wordplay’ on ‘me and my big mouth’.
The whole cd was written, rehearsed and recorded in a couple of weeks: the first half in Sydney and the other half in Byron Bay (Australia).
The cd was released on January 31st 2011 by In A Cabin With / V2
