Al Viola was an American jazz guitarist who worked with Frank Sinatra for 25 years. Viola most often worked as a session musician in Los Angeles, performing for film, television, and numerous recordings. His mandolin playing can be heard in the soundtrack to \"The Godfather\". He played with Bobby Troup, Ray Anthony, Harry James, Buddy Collette, Stan Kenton, Gerald Wilson, and Terry Gibbs and many others. This track is from his album of the same name released in 1961, and is an excellent example of how pure his playing style was.
