Alec Normal - Love, Overtime (2021) (Full Album)

Love, Overtime is Alec H. Normal’s newest and most cryptic release yet. Double meanings, metaphors, and cheese -- to name a few facades he implemented to make Mrs. Overtime his most mysterious piece of work to date.

“I’ve been focusing on jamming some more mysterious elements into my music, and using various tactics to poke at what my newer albums mean,” he stated in an interview to absolutely nobody but his cat and some stale bread on the counter.

His newest album has received a 6/10 on IGN and a 9/10 on Rotten Tomatoes, despite being a musical album. It's just that good, I guess.

Love, Overtime was a painfully long process, and a painfully musical one. It just doesn’t stop. “The music in my head does not stop. I need serious mental evaluation. I need help. I need an escape.” He jokingly states. He’s joking. Love, Overtime was in the works for 6 months, even before Stargazing (his previous album) released. Many a song were purged in this process. There are 5 songs that didn’t quite make the cut for the album, which may later be released somewhere else. Like, say, I don’t know, the trash? “I would give the names of the songs I purged, but they didn’t have any official names at the time of purging. I just had random names for them, but if you insist, I’ll tell you which ones were excluded from this month’s get-together. Butterdog Song, Love Song I Guess, Pipe Dream, Dog, and there’s one last song I can’t seem to remember - I just can’t put my flipper on it… It must be so forgettable that despite working on it for weeks on end, it has slipped into the deepest, darkest, most crevicey crevice of my brain-crack.” It’s not forgettable. Alec Normal has a horrendously terrible memory. In fact, just yesterday he was working on his 5 subscriber special since he completely forgot he passed that mark, long, long ago.

Love, Overtime was certainly worked into overtime -- Taking 6 months to bake. Yet Mr. Normal goes completely unpaid. “I get all my money from money laundering and heists.” I suppose the best payment of all is seeing all of your guys’ wonderful comments on his music.

“Crack THIS code, you fiend!”
