Lane 8 & Kidnap Kid, aka Daniel Goldstein and Matt Relton, have emerged as two of electronic music’s most exciting talents in recent years, carving out stellar reputations with their unique melodic approaches.
Hailing from San Francisco, Lane 8 hasn’t looked back since the release of his debut album ‘Rise’, on Anjunadeep in 2015, taking North America by storm with his own label and phone-free touring concept ‘This Never Happened’, picking up a string of Hype Machine #1s and widespread BBC Radio 1 support along the way.
Kidnap Kid has cemented his place at the forefront of the UK’s club scene, with a steady stream of cult hits on his own ‘Birds That Fly’ imprint, including 2016’s ‘Moments’ and ‘Brokenhearted’, earning A-list support from the likes of Agoria, Jamie Jones and Sasha.
Now the pair team up for the first time on ‘Aba’, a rolling cut of lush deep house, building through cascading textures into a gentle piano riff and a crescendo of powerful low-end and tribal chanting.
