Playing Next: Costumbre - Fantasia (Sizzur's Jamz)
Random Page  /  Random Song

STEREO ACTION GOES HOLLYWOOD: The sound your eyes can follow. Marty Gold and his orchestra.
INVITATION the title song to the 1952 film, was written by Bronislau Kaper. After a sensuous introduction by flutes, piccolos and shimmering violins, the melody is first played by an eerie combination of electric guitar and vibes which begin their Stereo Action movement on the left, followed in circular motion by the harpsichord playing block chords. The violins, which have provided the accompaniment so far, now take up the melody for the second eight measures of the chorus. The bridge (or middle theme) is first crossed and coming in opposite direction. The solo trombone takes over the last eight measures of the bridge theme but he never crosses; he issues his entire statement from the right side only. Following some more instrumental contrast, the sensuous introductory passage is repeated.
