Notes from Daniel Romberger about this arrangement:
The featured instrument of this \"Horns of Hyrule\" arrangement is ... none other than horn! I wanted to feature a small choir of the same instrument at some point throughout Horns of Hyrule, and horn with its wide range was a natural fit. So Ballad of the Goddess begins with a horn quintet, and a lot of the decisions I made throughout the arrangement were motivated by how to make use of the 5-piece horn ensemble.
When the trailer for Skyward Sword was initially released, it caused a bit of a stir because people realized if the trailer music was played backwards, it became Zelda's Lullaby. Zelda's Lullaby is an incredibly important song to the series -- I was initially going to cover it for the Horns of Hyrule as the Ocarina of Time representative until discovering that it actually debuted in A Link to the Past. So, in light of that, I thought it would be fun to work Zelda's Lullaby into the arrangement here and have both Ballad of the Goddess and Zelda's Lullaby play at the same time just like the trailer (though this time, each of them play forwards).
Thanks for watching! I'm super excited for Skyward Sword HD to release in less than a month and hope this video gets you excited for it too! We're super grateful to all the musicians who helped out with Horns of Hyrule; please check out our collaborators' channels!
