Certainly one of the rarest, but also one of the best UK psych 45s in my book, released on the small UK Domain label in 1968. You can almost see Tamara bathed in a liquid light show snaking her arms and hips shrouded in silk paisley flowing robes and scarfs, while Perception create a morass of shimmering, swirling sound.
Everything is perfect here, the wild organ, spooky guitars, tight and punchy drums and Tamara's sneering cocky vocals anchored to slabs of fuzz bass all put through a glorious multi-coloured wash of phasing. Like Julie Driscoll and the Trinity on steroids.
I have never come across even a snippet of information about Tamara or Perception, so they remain a total mystery to me. Anyone know anything?
