It's been a while since I covered a song purely out of how beautiful I think the original tune is. I thought it'd be fitting to turn Pokmon DPPt's Pokmon League theme into a beautiful jazz ballad! This tune is wonderful! I'm really glad I decided to cover this tune this week. I realized that it had been a while since I did a song purely out of my own choice, usually I try and pick a song that you guys have requested a decent amount, just so more of you will be familiar with the source material! However, this week, I've been absolutely addicted to Joshua Redman's record \"Walking Shadows\", which is a record entirely comprised of jazz ballads. I took some elements of that album, including Brian Blade's drumming style and Mehldau's beautiful orchestration and applied it to this arrangement. I'm extremely proud of how this arrangement came to sound, and I think it's one of my best sounding mixes yet. I even sound a little bit like Joshua Redman in this... ;)
