Soul legend Sam Cooke's debut release recorded for Keen on 1st June 1957.
Sam reached #1 in the US, in the UK it only crept into the top 30 at #29.
Sam wrote this and many of his other hits. In 2010 'You Send Me' was voted #115 in Rolling Stone magazine's The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
In 1960 Sam signed for RCA were he continued to have great recording and chart success, sadly he was shot and killed by a motel owner in December 1964, the circumstances are still uncertain as there appears to be many inconsistences in stories and in Sam's injuries.
