Before this album's release, Polish multi-instrumentalist and solo artist Bruno Janiszewski posted a video on his YouTube page that he recorded from a grassy hilltop overlooking a lush, green forest; the wind blowing gently and stirring the greenery in waves as he played s guitar-only rendition of the first song. Through much of this album, that's exactly the sort of imagery that this collection of delicate, mystifying Folk centering around fingerpicked acoustic guitar evokes, with additional instrumentation helping to create an adventurous atmosphere. Many tracks on 'Wayfaring Psalmody' have subtle twists and turns, some dark and mysterious, others beautiful and uplifting, giving the album lots of variety and making it feel like a journey through deep, undisturbed country.
