I don't usually provide a re-upload of my videos. An exception has been made in this case. Originally played on a horn gramophone, the video didn't bring out the clarity it deserved.
Thanks to Jonathan Holmes it can now be heard at its most advantageous.
Alfredo (aka Alfred Gill) recorded exclusively for Edison Bell during his dance band recording career from 1925-1930.
My first Alfredo records featured him on their Radio label and are the most likely to be found. Nearly all his Radio issues are on You tube as are his Winner recordings, Edison Bell's most prestigious label was their short lived Electron label which rang from 1927-1929. At 3/- each they were the same price as HMV and as a result did not sell well.
There are only a few of Alfredo's Electron records on You tube, not including this one presently.
The Forbes-Rust book does not state the record has a vocal and as such suggest that the two collectors did not have a copy.
The record features an early vocal from Les Allen.
Great song, band and vocalist combine to produce a rare version of the delightful \"Crazy Rhythm\".
Recorded c. 15th October 1928.
