The pale moonlight shines through a dense fog illuminating twisted images of distorted faces. Three hooded figures emerge and slowly you start to lift from the ground. Screaming and coughing blood, your body begins the transformation. You are the one they've chosen to complete their prophecy.... You awake on the forest floor wet from the morning dew. A sharp pain fills your head, you feel hollow and drained. As you slowly crawl to your feet you notice the oozing charred remains of indistinguishable origin scattered around you. Dehydrated and desperate, you limp to a nearby stream for water. You trip and fall to the ground cupping the water in your deformed hands, shaking and trembling as you drink. Returning for another handful of water you glimpse into the stream at your rippling reflection. The creature looking back at you is a pale disfigured fragment of your former self. Cackling laughter emanates from the trees, growing louder and louder. Burning images of ancient text flash before your eyes. You fall to the ground clutching the sides of your head in pain, trying to plug your ears from the now overwhelming cackles

.....you have become one with the darkness

..... you are cursed.
