Happy Father's Day to my dad! Although I started watching this show a little while ago, I wanted to get this cover created for today since my dad just finished binging through the show in record time! I would easily contribute most of this channel to him as I've gotten into music, guitar/rock music, and videography thanks to him! Everyone wish Papa-ganti a happy Father's Day so I can get some extra points here ;)
This cover honestly was something I knew from both hearing the music and watching the pilot, was gonna happen and happen big time. Ramin Djawadi's work on Game of Thrones was already mesmerizing and to see a show masterfully combine science-gone-wrong with Western was a blast. I'm still working through the show myself, but I had to give the theme a whirl. I also recognized that the melody really resemble's Polyphia's \"Euphoria\" chorus and I leaned really hard into their particular groove in here. With some help from Getgood Drums P4 and Invasion Kits I think this became my favorite mix ever! Video-wise, I wanted to see how many effects from the famous intro sequence I could recreate without going too crazy! I used a lot of layers, dust particles, smoke clouds, and a few B-Roll shots that worked beautifully with Red Giant's Supercomp to glue together. Ultimately I scrapped a lot of ideas, got some help from good buddy Darkages009, learned a bit of Substance Painter for the robotic arm effect, and put together something emblematic of the channel and what I think makes me unique here. Hopefully my pop likes the filmic side of things as much as you all might!
