TI8 (Want You Gone Parody)

Playing Next: The Cure - A letter to Elise live in Avenches 2005 - 5 Cam Mix
Random Page  /  Random Song

The long-awaited TI8 parody to the ending song of Portal 2, Want You Gone. I thought this was a fitting sequel to last year's (Still Alive) and had planned to do it since I finished recording TI7! Loved TI8 and it was tough jamming all the memes and highlights into less than 3 minutes. Sorry for the delay as I've been busy with Artifact content :P Hope you guys enjoy!

Original: Want You Gone by Jonathan Coulton from the Valve game, Portal 2

LYRICS

Well, here we are again.
This time we're in Vancouver.
Can't believe Bulldog failed to get here... twice.
At least we had some dogs,
and Puppey's throwing headphones.
Despite the humans winning,
TI turned out quite nice.

Can't top this five-game final.
Tradition is broken now.
We got a Gabe announcer -
it's just too bad that Valve can't count.

Please keep your pants on boys.
'Cause we have two new heroes:
An edgelord painter and red Hercules.
The all-star game was trash.
But Josh is super hot now.
We're hype for Artifact,
but only when its for free.

I'd spam Lakad Matataaaag!
But Battle Pass is gone.
We'll be in Shanghai next year,
I'm sure that nothing can go wrong.

Good games, my only friend.
Oh.
Did you think I meant you?
You keep your EG throws,
and I'll keep Seb.
Your win has been replaced
with a sad interview now.
Reshuffle and hope you don't
end up irrelevant.

At least there won't be Void spam.
Thank goodness that Rubick won.
Make sure to not be toxic,
now that Topson's proved you wrong.
Now that TI's come and gone.
Now you only have
this song.
