This album came out 8 years ago today on January 17th, 2008.
Perfect Machines was a punk band from San Francisco. Most of the time they played to their friends in dingy bars. They felt like kings. The few times they played alongside their musical heroes to huge crowds of sweaty fans, they felt like gods. It was a flash in the pan of music history. Now, they are a dusty, forgotten footnote, scribbled along the margin of a dark corner of the index of punk rock lore. They are the leftover ink, dried and unsightly, hanging off of the end tail end of a distorted Y which sits alone at the end of a useless adverb, on one copy, left in the rain, rotting among their brethren garbage.
