nerd jealous compilation

Intro: The new release, Nerd Jealous Self Titled Album, is here! Actually, it's a compilation of the best tracks I have made for this channel, in no particular order since they're all amazing(-ly bad)--

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

// Equipment: Recorded on a cheapo dictaphone, edited with flstudio, an old acer laptop, audacity

Instruments include: guitar, keyboard, Sytrus instruments within fl, music 2000 for PS1, vocals by myself, many effects made using audacity and messing about with those spinny dial things in fl, and others which I'm sure I'm forgetting...//

Description of whatever the heck this is:

This collection of tracks is compiled from 50+ videos of I uploaded on this channel between January and June this year (2020), all considered 'crap art albums' made within a day or two each, or just single tracks uploaded because I thought they were interesting (crap art is a movement that was made to encourage the process of creation being more important than making money from it, I do a bad job of explaining it so google it!)

These are the best of the bunch! A pick of the tracks from ALL the music I made, that I consider and other people have said they are the better pieces I have made up to now this year.

It was an easy decision, since there were many filler tracks and crappier-than-crap-tracks that weren't really worth including, hence there are 12 tracks out of half a years worth of crap art music.

The Theory Behind All This Madness:

Three main parts, crap art, doing music on the cheap with whatever I have to hand, and a theory...... which I read somewhere online in an article, that out of around 100 songs a musician makes, there will be one track that is very good, and around a handful of good tracks, with some left over that may be passable as okay songs. I made probably in excess of 200 tracks in half a year, and only 12 have made the cut. There may be many other tracks that could have also been considered for this album, but I went with the feeling in mind and picked those that I automatically jumped to and remembered over all the others. This is after all, about the subjective nature of the musician, as well as followers, who have spent time listening to all of it and found the ones that stick out the most are the ones that are worthy of keeping around. I'll let you decide which is which....

As for the other stuff? It *might* be worth remaking in the future... but it's currently in the vault never to be seen again... Gone!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy listening to this shambolic mess, as I certainly enjoyed making it, as well as the annoying sounds contained within, that could be considered some sorta, 'music'.

So, you ready? Here's the track list:

Notes:

- I don't consider myself a good musician, I'm not even a producer and don't ever consider myself to be anything of the sort, and I'm probably below average when it comes to the playing of instrumentational devices, as well as laptops being complicated (I compared it like making cheese), and also have only taken up rapping recently in life, and and I sux, so you're looking at brand new, never tried before, no goodist material as of this new era of the Nerd Jealous musical exploration. Oh and if you want to know my influences, I'm into the very good-ly work ethic-ly minded Viper, Matt Farley, and kept their efforts in mind when making my own music this year.

- For those who want to know which tracks are which, Stock Shop Delicate/Mysterious Walk In The Woods are the noise art tracks (Stock uses a self made Music 2000 track as the core), Glitched Women/Pulse are the weird and spoken word tracks, the acoustic guitar track is Back Of A Magazine....

- Stop Thinking Of You is inspired by the outsider artist Farrah Abraham, and the rest are mostly various mixes of vocals and rap, which I took inspiration from Mike Patton, for he is one of my many vocal influences.

- I have mostly made guitar and vocal music in the past, so consider myself more proficient at those, if you could consider this as my strengths, of course

- I like to write lots of detail about my videos, I could have warned you about this earlier, but it's too late now I guess

- I also like to make abstract art every now and then, so check out my channel for that :D
