The Torrent-Alexander duo appears in concert throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, delighting their audiences with their unique and beautiful arrangements for the organ, and their flair for subtle comedy.
It is interesting to note that their careers so closely parallel, both having begun musical instruction in the classical tradition at a very early age, becoming proficient on the piano and violin, then switching to popular music during college years.
Both are talented composers and arrangers, and it is this comprehension of all types of music that we find so richly reflected in their presentations in this album.
Axel was a popular figure in radio, recording and T.V. in Germany and later in England, while Shay was likewise very busily employed in Chicago. Both were musical directors as well as performers on several Chicago T.V. shows.
The two met while working on a show in Chicago, and later found themselves working together in so many places that they decided to join forces. Thus the Duo was born.
Since then they have traveled extensivley, appeared on dozens of television and radio shows, guesting on the Lawrence Welk show and have appeared before many happy crowds in the Chicago Stadium, in Town Hall N.Y. City, Palais Montcalm, Quebec City and even in Alaska.
During the summer months when the duo is not traveling, Shay serves as offical organist at Anaheim Stadium, Home of the California Angels, where he presented the first public performance of the brilliant and many faceted Hammond X-66 organ.\"]
If any viewers would care to forward more information about these sides and anything else about the sessions I will be happy to add it to this description, extending full credit if the contributor wishes it.

This original longplay record album was released as a demonstration disc for the Hammond X-66 in 1967 on Do-Re-Mi Records, and is part of my personal collection. I ripped its contents for my enjoyment and created this video hoping to share it with others who appreciate hard-to-find and obscure music. Should the current copyright holders require its removal from this site I will comply.
