I recently acquired an early 1926-vintage Victor Victrola Granada by answering an ad on Craigslist. All she needed was a little restoration and some TLC to bring her back up to par.
The spring motor, tone arm assembly and automatic shutoff mechanism were completely disassembled, cleaned and re-lubricated. The speed governor springs were replaced. The turntable felt and grill cloth were replaced. All the existing (and missing) door knobs were replaced. Finally, the entire cabinet, doors, etc. were cleaned and treated with Hester Bennett's (my wife's grandmother) secret antique furniture restoration formula.
Shes now sitting regally in our living room ready to last another 84 years! :)
This video was recorded with a Canon FS100 digital camcorder (using available room lighting), connected to a NADY RSM-4 ribbon microphone (4 inches away from the front of the grill) via a BeachTek DXA-4 dual XLR adapter.
