Replikants - This Is Our Message (1997 5 Rue Christine GER001) the first of two records from this experimental off-shoot of Unwound. This first album is just Justin Trosper and Brandt Sandeno (guitarist and drummer of Unwound respectively) with input from Aaron and Benjamin Hartman on tracks 8 & 19, before the addition of drummer Joe Plummer (Bare Minimum, Modest Mouse, Ugly Casanova, The Black Heart Procession, Cold War Kids) for their second album. This is also the first release from 5 Rue Christine, the more experimental and noise oriented imprint of the already amazing Kill Rock Stars. The liner notes on the album recommend listening to this with headphones and shuffle on, but I put the tracks in the correct order (sorry).
