'With A Twist' is the eagerly anticipated follow up to 2001's 'Up' for Brighton based funksters LEMON.
Largely written and produced by the man behind Freshly Squeezed and London's grooviest night out, Club Montepulciano, Nick Hollywood (possibly not his real name).
'With A Twist' doesn't disappoint. Packed to the gills with dirty bass lines, futuristic keyboards, sexy female vocals, crunchy guitars, punchy brass, slinky grooves and seamless samples. Stand out tracks include the ska flavoured 'Storm Warning', the brilliantly titled surf-noir 'Lets Go! BIKINI', 'Planet Mambo', a raunchy dancefloor cover of the classic 60's tune 'Suzie Q' (the track playing in the scene from 'Apocalypse Now' when the Bunny Girls emerge from the helicopter) and a twist on the Batman Theme called, er, 'Batman (twist)'.
Guaranteed to be the coolest album blaring from the speakers of any self-respecting dune buggy this summer?
