Since Tommy Atkins Taught The Chinese How To Charleston - Jay Whidden's New Midnight Follies Band

Playing Next: Club 13-Elegy On The Death Of A Late Famous General (1969)
Random Page  /  Random Song

Despite the rather dated (and definitely cliche) introduction by Jay Whidden, this is a nice public hall recording played with real vigour by his band. The song was written by Campbell and Connelly after Stanley Baldwin's government sent troops into China in 1927 to quell unrest.
