I just got back from The Runaway Guys Colosseum charity event and it was so much fun! Thanks so much to everyone who contributed and had fun with us! This week I've got something very different for ya.
A few months ago, I was reached out to by a buddy of mine from MAGfest who helps run Chiptunes = WIN and asked if I was interested in being a part of their cover album. I thought the timing was perfect as I was just finishing up the Super Mario Super Medley and I was planning in branching into stuff. Since I have a soft spot of anime sounding stuff I ended up going with this amazing track by Knasibas!
I was heavily influenced by Sithu Aye here and tried to emulate some of his quirks while keeping mostly to my style. I love the way Periphery incorporates these huge chords in their main riffs so that's something I've been really playing around with on the last few covers. Since this was a super different song, Corey and I opted to get super experimental with some of the shots, including giving lens whacking a go. I think it turned out to be one of the cleanest looking videos lately! Hope you guys dig it, check out Knasibas, and check out the amazing album of artists on the Chips = Flipped album!
