Tony Williams signature \"Uh-only\" was of singing the word \"only\" was the result of the band rehearsing in the car, and when the driver jerked the wheel, Tony said \"Uh-oh\" and kept on singing. They group began laughing, but soon realized that this hiccup was the key to the song's success and so recorded it this way.
This is the original HIT MONO MIX released on Mercury 70633 when this song was a HUGE hit on AM Top 40 radio stations in the spring and summer of '55.This copy's black label (as opposed to pink) indicated that it was a later pressing in the original run, made after Mercury had changed its label color to maroon/black.
