A popular sea shanty and drinking song that has been found mainly in England, but also in Canada and Australia. Ironically, as it's often thought to be an Irish song, no traditional versions have been found in Ireland. Presumably it became an Irish drinking song when recorded by The Clancy Brothers, and The Dubliners ensured its reputation as a part of the Irish tradition.

My rendition is the clean version, leaving out some of the verses I used to sing with The Belaiters in Brunei.
