From the Rick Colom Collection: An album of W.C. Handy music conducted by Henry Levine, with vocals by Lena on tracks 1,3,5 & 7

Note: these eight songs have also been posted as individual videos and were included in the second of four early-1940s album sets that featured cast members of NBC’s weekly program “The Chamber Music Society of Lower Basin Street.” The tongue-in-cheek presentations of jazz, blues and Dixieland were performed by studio musicians led by Henry Levine and Paul Laval with vocals during the early seasons by Dinah Shore, Lena Horne and Linda Keene.
