Che dire? Ho sempre meno da dire, dato che vedo tutto svolgersi in diretta e mi da così tanta soddisfazione e oggetto per riflettere che non posso aggiungere molto a quel che si può ascoltare dalle sessioni immortali che io e Mandie Shattuck, l’artista Madge Midgely, mettiamo in scena ormai a cadenza mensile. Questo è il quinto volume da Ottobre 2018, il sesto contando anche la collaborazione preziosa sulla lettura di Come Wang-Fô fu salvato. Come nostro solito abbiamo percorso gli argini degli sconosciuti e pericolosi fiumi della musica interiore, fra drone e musica d’ambiente, arricchita questa volta anche dalla selezione di nastri privati che Mandie ha eseguito e che ci ha fatto sperimentare fra le vorticose addizioni di significati ulteriori, le voci da una stanza accanto e i sentimenti senza tempo. Abbiamo avuto un ottimo tempo anche a questo giro. Mi sento di augurarvi un buon ascolto, di immedesimarvi in voi stessi più che in noi, e di veicolare questa opera a chi si è avvicinato al proprio fiume.
What can I say? I have less and less to say, since I see everything going live and it gives me so much satisfaction and object to reflect that I can't add much to what you can hear from the immortal sessions that me and Mandie Shattuck, the artist Madge Midgely, put on the Now on a monthly basis. This is the fifth volume since October 2018, the sixth including the valuable collaboration on the reading of “How Wang-Fo was saved.” As usual, we walked the banks of unknown and dangerous rivers of the inner music, between drone and ambient music, this time also enriched by the selection of private tapes that Mandie performed and that made us experimenting among the swirling additions of further meanings, voices from a room next door and their timeless feelings. We had a great time on this tour too. I wish you a good listening, to empathize with yourself more than with us, and to convey this work to those who have approached their rivers.
