An updated sax cover of France Theme (Civ 6), originally composed by Roland Rizzo.
A couple of years ago, I did a \"musical biography\" of Catherine de Medici, with a suite of covers of Quand je bois du vin clairet, the French tourdion that was the basis for France's Theme in Civ 6. Unfortunately, I put less familiar variants up front (the first piece was a more medieval-sounding take on the piece, and the second was a jazzed up version) before getting into the arrangement that Civ 6 fans would know and love.
Hindsight is 20/20, but it shouldn't be a surprise to realize that that video bombed hard. Audience retention metrics suggest that people didn't get past even the first version, much less to the Civ 6 cover.
So, since it is statistically likely that most people didn't hear this cover (even if they clicked to watch the video from 2 years ago), I have decided to re-release this cover by itself. However, for the few people who may have watched my video 2 years ago, this cover has been revamped with new mix balancing, adjustment of dynamics, and a few additional parts added!
Song: France Theme (Quand je bois du vin clairet)
