The great soprano Rosa Ponselle sings “Pace, pace, mio Dio” (from Act IV of Verdi's La Forza del Destino) on Victor Red Seal record 6440-A, played on an EMG Mark IX gramophone with a Burmese thorn needle. Acoustically recorded January 23, 1924 in Camden, New Jersey. My apologies for the excessive surface noise on this one - but what a voice!!
