\"Chantez avec moi la chanson d'llegance\" ..... D'llegance was a studio project created by Ian Levine & Rick Gianatos, fronted by lead singer Linda Leilani Brown who (reportedly) was only a teenager back in 1979 when these sides were recorded. One 12\" single was released on RSO, Share My Love b/w Midnight Ride (originally recorded by another Levine artist, Barbara Pennington), but an album never materialised. Curiously, Chanson d'Llegance from the same sessions became a huge club hit on Gianatos' Altair Records when post-released in 1982. Two further cuts, a remake of The (Disco-)Supremes' Let My Heart Do The Walking and a remake of Levine's own Don't Stop Dancing (previously recorded by Tyrone Ashley) remained unreleased until the late 80s when Levine issued his Nightmare Gold series of unreleased tracks from the late 70s.
I have added three bonus tracks, Coast To Coast and Time Is Running out by the duo Twilight Affair (Tony O’Keeffe and Marie Toland), which also remained unreleased at the time they were recorded, and Marie Toland's wonderful The Starlight Is Gone which had been intended for Shirley Bassey to record (Gianatos mixed her classic disco record This Is My Life, 1979).
