The project toured the east coast and released 8 studio albums. MV's sound ranged from electronic industrial to metal, influenced by bands such as Ministry, Skinny Puppy, and Nine Inch Nails. Media Violence featured heavy electro percussion juxtaposed with McCormick's screaming vocals.
Media Violence experienced popularity in the Virginia underground and along with bands such as In Tenebris and hERETICS iN tHE lAB, became one of the pioneering acts in the industrial/gothic scene in VA in the early 2000s.
After the project ended McCormick formed Electronic/EBM project Aggressive Attack, and created the Media Violence Inc. the record label/publishing company created to release McCormick's catalogue of music.
