Artist Biography: Reach are a 2 man Progressive metal project based in Morrison,Illinois and Dublin,Ireland.
Brady Popkin founded what became Reach in 2010 after writing and recording songs at home in the vain of his idols In Flames/Soilwork.
In March 2012 Brady with the addition of vocals by friend and former band member Casey Pruis,released the first Reach EP entitled
\"We the Means to Escape This Light,Intrusive\" which was popular with online sites such as Gotdjent?.com/Youtube and Soundcloud.
Brady continued to write and record what would become \"Cerberan\" and on October 18th 2012 Brady began to forward Tony some tracks to audition his vocals over after being contacted on Soundcloud by Tony in rural Ireland about an online collaboration.
Of the 3 tracks sent,Tony chose \"Markawasi\" and quickly sent back his audition,Brady was impressed with the audition that he asked Tony would he like to complete the rest of the album and join Reach as Vocalist.
On August 6th 2013 Reach released \"Cerberan\" a 12 track album mixing styles of instrumental progressive metal and electronic interludes with crushing vocals and melodic choruses which are evident throughout the album.
\"Cerberan\" is truly a 2 man effort with all the Vocals being tracked in Ireland at home with nothing more than a Shure SM57 + Presonus M7 condenser microphone and a basic knowledge of recording,then exporting raw vocals stems via Dropbox to Brady at home in the US where he patiently mixed and mastered the album that you are now hearing today.
Reach's influences are evident throughout the album,as mentioned earlier Brady is a huge fan of the Gothenburg metal styling's of In Flames and fellow swedes Soilwork and Meshuggah.Tony is also a huge fan of these bands as well as bands such as Chimaira,Arch Enemy and Lamb Of God to name but a few.
Both Brady and Tony appreciate all genres of music outside of metal which ultimately influences their writing in Reach which is evident on one of their more mellow tracks entitled \"Dirge\" on \"Cerberan\".
