Diving for Light is an animated feature-length film and 9-song magical bass album that tells a cosmic coming of age story about radical self expression, finding balance, and revealing cheat codes for unlocking next level creativity.
Diving for Light is told through the voice of Yziza (Yiz), a rebellious alien girl who has a strong urge to express her wild creativity. Following a strong urge to fly, she decides to upgrade herself by getting wings grown from her own DNA. Yiz follows her heart regardless of what others think, even when her friends and family turn against her because they don’t approve of her rebellious ways.
She teaches her friends about Resistance Diving, a technique for embracing the uncomfortable feelings when doing something new for the first time. Yiz also helps others who feel lost and alone like her. She struggles with distraction and one day gets severely injured when looking at her voidlink (screen) while flying in Wind Shark territory. Despite being easily distracted, she’s a total badass, but, for some reason doesn’t know it.
