Joe Pass ชื่อเต็มคือ \"Joseph Anthony Jacobi Passalaqua\" มือกีต้าร์แจ๊สชาวอเมริกา เป็น 1 ในนักกีต้าร์แจ๊สที่ทรงอิทธิพลทางดนตรีที่สุดในช่วงศตวรรตที่ 20 มีแนวทางการเล่นกีต้าร์ ที่เรียกว่า \"Chord Inversions and Progressions\" มีไลน์เมโลดี้ที่พริ้วไหว สวยงาม ต่างต่างจากนักกีต้าร์ท่านอื่นๆ ในยุคสมัยเดียวกัน Joe Pass เริ่มเล่นกีต้าร์ตั้งแต่อายุ 14 ปีที่เพนซิลวาเนียกับวงแจ๊สที่มี Tony Pator และ Charlie Barnet เป็นสามาชิก ต่อมาภายหลังได้ย้ายไปเล่นที่นิวยอร์ก กระทั่งถูกจับในข้าหาใช้ยาเสพติดเข้าไปอยู่ในคุกหลายปีทีเดียว พอปี 1950 หลังออกมาจากเรือนจำก็ไม่ได้จับกีต้าร์อีกเลย Joe Pass ต้องใช้เวลาเข้าไป
