Four years is, admittedly, a long time to piece together a 13 track, 45 minute album. But when I laid down the first of these tracks (\"Back from Prison\") in September of 2009, I had no grand scheme in mind - I was just casually laying down a bit of greasy rock 'n' roll that had no place in the Vertigo Swirl universe.
As the stockpile of songs grew larger, however, I started to take the idea of a sequel to Utopian Flying Machines more seriously. For some time I was taken by the idea of a double album entitled Nag Champa (the title track was an instrumental that I never got around to recording), but sanity prevailed in the end and a mountain of outtakes was tossed aside to produce a more tightly focused set.
So, dear listener, I am proud to present twelve new(ish) BaM compositions (four co-written with the talented lyricist who just happens to be my wife) and one Walt Winston cover, performed by meself and a couple of the usual suspects. Enjoy!
