Joseph Samuels records under the name \"Long Beach Society Serenaders\" in this arrangement with a vocal. Though recorded in November, 1922, his style is still reminiscent of the late teens, early 20's arrangements that sometimes sound stilted and monotonous--he apparently decided not to change his arrangement to the later style that was coming very much into vogue in 1922. It's hard to imagine something dating from 1922 being considered \"later\", but the popular music did make a considerable change in that year which would forever separate it from the late teens/early 20's ragtime sound. Samuels made a huge number of recordings in the late acoustical period 1919-1925, then ceased recording right at the advent of the electrical process.
