Ian Siegal's outstanding acoustic album in full - unabridged, from 2008. Copyright - Nugene Records.

One of the very finest acoustic country/blues albums ever to have come out of the UK. Three live tracks are included recorded at the Running Horse in Nottingham - I was at that gig and had never heard of Siegal before. I was astonished by his technique, vocal power, songwriting and stage presence. An astonishing facet of Siegal’s playing is his brilliantly solid sense of pulse. Evident in the live recordings, Ian has that pure, naturally metronomic sense of beat that was an important aspect of the original blues players such as Robert Johnson, Blind Willie McTell, Blind Willie Johnson, Bukka White and John Lee Hooker. Siegal’s steel slide playing is also very unique as he plays without finger picks - his right hand picks with bare fingertips. This is highly unusual and gives Ian his own unique sound and style.
