This was originally my entry to the Soundole Chill Out 2018 challenge, but I was a few hours late! But, Im still so glad that I was motivated to try something different, and forced me to learn more about things Ive never done before! Good luck to everyone that entered, and I can't wait to see everyone's entries!!

This cover introduced two major things Ive never done in any of my videos: Voice as a major emphasis, an absence of double reeds, and a completely different style! Feedback is greatly appreciated. And if you guys liked this video, let me know and I might do something similar again!

Im surprised I havent done more Zelda covers on my channel, I think the music is fantastic and it is one of my favorite series! I was so paranoid after my first copyright fiasco that Ive been avoiding popular franchises such as Zelda, but lets hope that doesnt happen again. :P

I originally had a video planned for last week, but had to delay it due to the fact that I am learning a new instrument, and had a big family trip this past week. I needed something last-minute to upload that didn't require as much recording stress (this cover uses much more computer-based and MIDI programming!) and oboe reed-making due to the lack of time I had. I wanted to participate in Soundole's challenge, so this was originally planned as a quick, easy synth cover...and it ended up turning into quite a big production!

I have always loved Lake Hylia from Twilight Princess, and thought it was such a peaceful tune, and what caused me to turn it into a mash-up was the similar chord progressions to Serenade of Water! I added a lot of stuff in this cover, such as writing out melodies to accompany the repetitive sections & transition, various quotes, and dissonant chords within the vocals. I'm not a trained singer by any means, so recording the vocals took probably a hundred tries and constant tuner-watching. This is the first time since my two brass covers I did not use any double reeds!

Headphones are recommended for listening, as I did some very noticeable things in the mix; I mimicked the sound of \"raindrops\" from echoing staccato sections in the guitar and later flutes, and panned quite extensively throughout the mix. The vocal sections pan in and out in really interesting ways, to give the most soundscape-y quality.

Let me know if you guys like this style, and anything I can improve on, since I've been trying some new stuff lately. THANKS FOR WATCHING :D:D:D:D
