Long past his prime and out of work after being mistreated by their previous employers, the Cat (Pierre Bezhukov) starts a band.
When the cat leaves for band practice the Squirrel Sciurus gradually skims away at the Lard which they had stored and agreed to share before Winter was to come.
....As Winter drew on, the Supply vanished and the Cat finally figured out who had done it. To avoid the fight which he would most likely lose against the bigger Cat, Sciurus, the Squirrel meanders his way to a stream and drowns himself after abruptly circling rabidly, which is witnessed by a young student who cries to his mother.
