Hey guys! It’s Landon here. Its finally out! Heartache of a Thousand Mistakes has been released! I’m here with a little explanation on what this album is about, and also, why I chose to make this album instead of release The New Horizons & Eye of the Ether.
I want to point out, that those two albums will never see the light of day online. The albums were cursed from the very beginning of the recording process. Those albums were ridden with various track list drafts, constantly changing mixing and sound, awful lyrically writing, and confusing and downright horrible storytelling. Coupled with the fact that I had so much more I wanted to do with these albums, I had to take a step back and think for a moment, and in my head, it came down to this: “This is not what people will enjoy. It’ll be a waste of a year on nothing! People deserve better than these messes of albums.” It’s true, if I were to have released those two albums instead of this album, you wouldn’t have had a worse reaction to anything.
In October, I pulled back, and thought about what I could do to fix these failures of albums. I comprised my feelings about the previous year, and feelings from times in my life where I felt hopeless, and created this album. Heartache, unlike the other albums, felt like an actual passion project than a chore, and it got me through the final stretch of the pandemic. I’m glad I pulled back for a moment and thought about what would not only make me happy, but would make you guys happy too. I wanted to give the best album I could, and I hope I succeeded that with this album. With barely any significant changes to the mixing, and improvements to both my lyric writing and vocal performance, I think I made this the album that the scrapped albums could only dream about becoming.
It truly makes me feel a lot better that I set those albums down in favor of this one. Hell, with a song confirmed to be 10 minutes long, I think I may have made this the album from the heart. It feels so great to listen to this album, my vocal mixing is much better than before, and the general musical composition changes are much cleaner. This album, after reaching over 100,000 total channel views and 300 subscribers, is my gift to you all, so I really hope that everyone enjoys this album. Even if you don’t, thank you for at least checking it out. This album basically means that after the nightmare you can go through, you’ll stand above everything you hated in one year. That everything was 2020 and every minute I spent working on the previous albums, it was a travesty for me. I hope you all enjoy this album, and get ready, because more material is on the way not only for this album, but for future albums down the line!
