Here's my video game saxophone cover of Route 225 from Pokmon DPPt! I'm Sab and I love saxophone and video games, so now I make covers that combine two of my favorite things!
This is one of my favorite songs from Pokmon DPPt, a classic staple of my childhood! I have wanted to recover this for YEARS and I'm glad I finally did!
I would always stop what I was doing in the game just to clap along when the claps come in! It's such a 80s groovy song, but I wanted to give it a \"retro\" treatment.
I always thought it would be funny to have this song sound like September by Earth, Wind, and Fire. And I was planning videos for the fall, I happen to think of doing Route 225, and coincidentally my upload schedule this year falls on the 21st of September... I felt it was my duty to get the cover done for the date and time! Glad to see I pulled it off haha! There are some quotes of September motives as well as background parts! See if you can find all of them haha!
I'm trying to experiment more with using layers more deliberately rather than just a wall of layers. Essentially, working on how to write parts with more purpose for depth, color, tambour, texture, etc. It's always a learning experience to write it, record, and then figure out mixing/balancing for all this stuff. I'm having a lot of fun pushing myself with YouTube this year, and will keep it up! Super excited for the videos planned for October! Just gotta get them done haha!
