Michael Gordon Oldfield (born 15 May, 1953) is an English multi-instrumentalist musician and composer, working a style that blends progressive rock, folk, ethnic or world music, classical music, electronic music, New Age, and more recently, dance. His music is often elaborate and complex in nature. Oldfield's career began fairly early, playing acoustic guitar in local folk clubs. At this time, he already had two 15-minute instrumental pieces in which he would \"go through all sorts of moods\", precursors to his landmark 1970s compositions.
He is best known for his 1973 hit album \"Tubular Bells\". He is also well known for his hit rendition of the Christmas piece \"In Dulci Jubilo\" and for performing during the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games.
I think this great piece of music by MIKE OLDFIELD fits perfectly to the Masterpiece of Art \"Civilization Final\" by Marco Brambilla, which I have used for my creation! I don't know how often I've watched this amazingly wall by M.B., but I've found at each time something new, lol ~ enjoy it!
