Following the success of Eastbound Expressway's Never Let Go, producer Ian Levine and Rick Gianatos were asked to submit a full album to AVI Records. When they delivered the finished product in February 1979, Ian Levine recalls: \"Ray Harris from AVI absolutely freaked out, and not in a good way at all, and I was in the doghouse, because “Never Let Go” had been such a big R&B hit, and contrary to what he had been expecting from us, this entire new album was pure out and out gay disco. So Rick came up with the idea that they would still release this new album, but under another different name, and so this album became Croisette, named after the beach front in Cannes.\"
The lead vocals were sung by Namibia-born, of Persian origin, Zypora Azazollah who came off a minor hit single Mine Is The Sunlight. She passed away in 2016, 65 years old. I have added a demo version of Keep It On Ice with some racy moans towards the end that Rick Gianatos ultimately left out of the finished mix. You also get a bonus in form of another unreleased Ian Levine production, Eric Robert's Outrageous.
Ian Levine revived the Croisette moniker in the mid-80s featuring Tracy Ackerman on lead vocals on singles such as Landslide, Nothing But Blackmail and a Hi-NRG cover of Do You Know The Way To San José.
