Presenting the debut release from British band Woses – a release that has been a long time in the making, after the band formed in 2005. The brainchild Mark Capp (Speirling, Ethernal, Portent), who is joined by Dan Capp (Speirling, Wolcensmen, ex-Winterfylleth) on bass, and Krista Kalsi on vocals.
Mixing progressive/experimental melodic black metal in the vein of Arcturus, Ulver, Midnight Odyssey, with the darker, old school grimness of Abigor, Gorgoroth, and others, there is both a cosmic, astral element to the sound, grounded by a tangible earthiness that has seen it stuck to our playlist for weeks.
