\"Into Glory Ride\" is a real ride. It was released in 1983. The heaviest bands at the time were Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Diamond Head and early thrash metal. How destructive it should have been for the Earth at that time.
When placed alongside other Manowar albums, the band showcases the vast range and variety of their music, while still meeting their \"true metal\" standards. A lot of people like to label this album with a doom metal label, and they are right. This album is slower than normal Manowar material. Traditional heavy metal might be a more appropriate name, but doom metal is fully working on it. I think Manowar puts a lot of effort into writing music, which I think many other bands could work on.
