If Mario's breakdancing from Super Mario 64 proved anything, it's that he knows how to get down and dirty, just like this cover! Insaneintherainmusic's jazz cover / remix of Bob-Omb Battlefield from Super Mario 64.
Man, this song is such a classic. Super Mario 64 wasn't as gigantic a part of my childhood as it was for some of my other gaming friends, but there's no doubt that the soundtrack set a standard. Songs like this one, Dire Dire Docks, and Bowser's Theme show how much emotion you can draw out without using top-of-the-line quality samples, and that's really what matters in the end! I took an emotion over complexity approach with this one, and I hope that's what stands out to you! I'd say this one is maybe 80% Vulfpeck influenced and 20% Snarky Puppy influenced.
(Yes, I know I have covered this before, but I figure it was time for an update where my mom didn't walk into the video partway through filming, haha!)
I'm currently working on an absolutely massive project behind the scenes right now, and that's been taking up a lot of my time! I am tremendously excited to share it with you when it's all said and done, though :)
